C'É POSTA per E.T challenge
As part of the institutional dissemination initiatives for the 2021-2022 school year, INAF announces a national competition managed by the innovative teaching group Play, in collaboration with Edu INAF and Media INAF, the two INAF newspapers.
The competition aims to involve primary and secondary school students of first and second grade with the aim of developing a team message with which to hypothetically enter into contact with presumed extraterrestrial civilizations, on the kind of the message of Arecibo, transmitted into space by the Arecibo radio telescope on November 16, 1974. The competition has a strong multidisciplinary scope, touching on issues relating to mathematics, physics, astronomy, chemistry, biology, sociology and art." Descrizione: Gli alunni con questo messaggio “Noi alunni amiamo le discipline STEM”. Si sono rappresentati davanti alla scuola e hanno cercato di scrivere con le abbreviazioni la parola STEM inserendo dei simboli come i resistori. L’intenzione era presentarsi come studenti che amano le discipline scientifiche.

Description: Pupils with this message “We pupils love STEM disciplines”. They represented themselves in front of the school and tried to write the word STEM with abbreviations by inserting symbols such as resistors. The intention was to present themselves as students who love scientific disciplines.

Descrizione: Il messaggio è “Siamo tristi sulla Terra perché c’è la guerra. Noi amiamo la Pace”. Per la frase “Noi umani siamo tristi sulla Terra perché c’è la guerra” si è rappresentato il mondo che esplode e i due bambini per rappresentare il “Noi umani”; per esprimere la tristezza si è usata l’immagine del cuore trafitto. La frase “Noi amiamo la pace” è rappresentata dal simbolo della pace, dalla parola “PEACE” e da tanti fiori rossi e cuore. Si è scelto questo messaggio, perché gli alunni vogliono rassicurare chi ci osserva da un esopianeta che siamo umani buoni, che amiamo la pace e se vedono scene di guerra non debbano pensare che tutti gli umani e noi in particolare, non siamo cattivi.

Description: The message is "We are sad on Earth because there is war. We love Peace ". For the phrase "We humans are sad on Earth because there is war" the world exploding and the two children were represented to represent "We humans"; the image of the pierced heart was used to express sadness. The phrase "We love peace" is represented by the symbol of peace, the word "PEACE" and many red flowers and hearts. This message was chosen, because the students want to reassure those who observe us from an exoplanet that we are good humans, that we love peace and if they see scenes of war they should not think that all humans and us in particular, we are not bad.
